This gallery contains Daily Moments that provoked a photo. I hope to add a new photo every day, but with my unpredictable schedule, there will be a few days lost. HERE is a link to last year's Daily Photos.

No Motivation
This is from a page out of my college psychology textbook. I spent my morning playing with the SmugMug Plugin for Lightroom 1.3. I needed to take a quick picture this morning to upload using the new plugin, and this what I came up with on short notice...

This is a close-up of a spool of aircraft cable that's sitting in my office at work. It's sort of a desperation shot for the day. It's a touch blurry thanks to camera shake and the abundance of caffeine in my system.

Old and New
I was playing with my macro lens. They claimed that I could fill the frame with something the size of a penny, so I had to try it. HERE is another picture of these same coins. I was amazed at how much more detail is on the 2007 coin vs. the 1966 well worn penny.
Thanks for you comments so far today. I wasn't too fond of the DOF either, but my goal was to emphasize the dates. Maybe I went too far with that idea.

My New Macro Lens
I bought a new macro lens, finally. This is a photo of some architecture in Princeton. I know, there's literally tons of architecture around princeton, but I found this one rather intriguing. Does anyone else see the face and big feet?
There was a fire on Princeton's campus today. I took quite a few photos, so there might even be a third photo for the day.

Another Guess What it Is Photo. I feel like this is easy, but you all can be the judge of that.
I was just playing with my new macro lens.

The Cat Sized Hole in my Screen
This morning I woke up to the sounds of a paper bag rustling and my cat galloping around my apartment. After about 4 laps, the noise stopped, and I got out of bed to see what was going on. The cat was gone, and the paper bag and its contents were all over the floor. Then I noticed the big, cat sized hole in the screen of my bedroom window. I threw on some clothes and headed outside, only to find him waiting by the front door. He was totally fine, except for his new found fear of paper bags with handles. Cats really do land on their feet, even when they jump from a 2nd floor window. I guess Dynamo is 1 short of 9 lives now.
I know this isn't a very "artsy" photo, but I had to share the story.

Injured Monkey
This is my cat's favorite toy. He's been performing a slow torture technique for almost 2 years. I've had to sew his wounds twice, just to keep him alive. I think it's time for the poor monkey to retire.
Or do you think I should perform a little plastic surgery one more time?

I figured out why I don't have an electric personality... I forgot to plug it in.

I have the same excuse as yesterday for not having a great photo of the day. It was long boring day at work, so I picked up the thing next to me and took a picture. On the drive home, I tried to come up with a creative caption, but obviously my creativity circuit was unplugged as well.

I was going to leave this as a guess what it is photo, but then I figured that only the people I work with would recognize it. I had a long boring day at work, and at the end of the day I realized that I hadn't taken my daily photo. These were the closest thing to me, so I snapped a shot. For those wondering what these are: They are counterweight bricks for a theatre rigging system.
