This gallery contains Daily Moments that provoked a photo. I hope to add a new photo every day, but with my unpredictable schedule, there will be a few days lost. HERE is a link to last year's Daily Photos.

You've seen this before.
I tried again with my macro lens today. I like the DoF, but I think I went a bit too far... Unfortunately, I didn't have my tripod, so I had to use ISO800 to get anything good. I uploaded this at work, so there's no photoshopping to it. I plan on posting a few other shots in my macro gallery later tonight.

Monkey Face in Tree
I'm sure everyone is going to post something Valentine related today, so I decided not to.
However, I did take some photos of some jelly beans I got last night. FYI: Jelly beans are not very attractive under a macro lens.

Complimentary Colors
I was trying to photograph the striking of a match, but I was impatient. As a result of my impatience, I got nothing usable. So I just shot the unlit matches on purple origami paper. That origami paper is really handy BTW.

A close-up of the chip on my smart card parking card. In Princeton, we don't have to use coins in our meters or take tickets at the parking garages. We have these handy dandy smart cards that shove in the meter and it puts time on for us. We can even get refunds if we leave the spot early. That little micro chip currently has $50 on it.

While trying to come up with a Macro Photo this morning, I tried some coffee beans. I took about 25 photos before I got frustrated and gave up. I just wasn't getting the detail I wanted. I think it was just because they were too dark. I tried all kinds of light sources and a flash, but I was just too picky this morning.

Since I've been rambling a lot already today, I might as well keep going. The photos that Hillary Shemin and Michael Sullivan took of their cameras inspired me to try it as well. Here's what I came up with.

Here's Mia playing in a chair. I had a small photo shoot with her yesterday. She's pretty quick, so it's very hard to get good shots of her. She also kept sliding off the chair, and I kept putting her back because I thought the dark chair went well with her fur.

You all must think I put the macro lens down for 2 days, but you would be wrong. Yesterday's and Today's photo were taken with the Macro lens. It's a sweet piece of glass.

There are some more cute photos of Mia HERE.

I'm off today, so It will be a 2 photo day. The second photo is

Nassau Hall

I was at work for over 14 hours yesterday, and when I escaped for dinner, I managed to get a picture of Nassau Hall on Princeton's Campus. This building has some very bright architectural lights on the ground only 6 or 8 feet away from the base of the building. There are also a dozen of the same lights hung in the trees. Anyhow, the front of this building is very bright.
This was my alternate photo for the day.

Here's an Update on the Dead Duck from Groundhog Day.

Guess What it is!

I feel like I take too many macro photos now that I have my macro lens. However, I also feel like I found a niche. This photo is not that great, I know, but I wanted to do a new Guess What photo.

Believe it or not, I was drinking some wine tonight. This bottle was on the coffee table right next to my wine glass because I was too lazy to get up and walk to the kitchen when my glass was empty. The background is actually my TV about 8' away.
The "believe it or not" was a bit of sarcasm. For those who don't know me, I very rarely go a day without some beer or wine. My roommate works at the Corkscrew Wine Shop in Princeton, so we always have wine in the house.

My second choice photo for today was this one. We have a lot of free time at work, and my friends were playing a board game. I took some shots of the exciting action, and then played with them in Lightroom a little.
