This gallery contains Daily Moments that provoked a photo. I hope to add a new photo every day, but with my unpredictable schedule, there will be a few days lost. HERE is a link to last year's Daily Photos.

Overflowing...
I got a new tree house for my two cats because they were fighting over the old one. In the store, the beds looked large enough for Dynamo, but it turns out that he barely fits.

Naked Garlic
I thought this naked garlic looked pretty awesome, so I went to take some photos of it. However, I didn't have much time, and it shows in the picture. I wish the little wisps of hair on top were in focus. Before I had a chance to reshoot, the garlic was sizzling in the skillet.

Remember that red tulip with the missing pedals that I shot on 3/26? Well.... It's now dead. It's been dead for a few days, but I've been trying to come up with some way to make it look cool in a photo.
This shot is actually a silhouette, not a shadow. Maybe that's obvious, but at first glance I thought the second tulip in background looked like a shadow of the one in focus. Is this cool at all? Or does it just look like a dead tulip?

Meet Paco...
I saw Paco sitting on a shelf at Barnes & Noble the other day. I thought he'd make an interesting subject for some photos, so I shelled out the $5 for this 6" tall posable artists model. That's a cut of cheese at his feet, in case you're wondering.

No one guessed yesterday's macro shot, so I updated its caption with a link to second photo of the same object. Check it out, and keep guessing.

Guess What It Is...
I don't think this is the greatest picture in the world, so I might post another one today. I have nothing better to do on my day off.

Happy Guessing! This one should not be as easy as the one from 6 days ago.

As of 10:30p, no one guessed, so Here's another shot of the same object.

BTW, Thanks for all the comments on Mia's Photo yesterday. Sepia Won.

I caught Mia Hiding behind the vertical blinds in my living room today. She was just soaking up some afternoon sun when she heard the camera clicking and looked right at me.

I played around with a bunch of post processing with this shot. This is a simple Sepia version that I really enjoyed, but here's another version with some color. Tell me which one you like better.

With 3 photos today, I officially made up for the last 2 days that I missed.

The Cork Collection

I could've made this setup larger, but I got tired of standing up all the corks in the checkerboard pattern. The cats also wanted to play with the corks.

I took a dozen shots of these corks, and for the most part I had a larger DoF. However, I had to try one at f/2.8 just for the sake of having choices later on. The smaller DoF in this shot gives me the feeling that the corks go on forever.

One of these days I'm going to buy some real lighting equipment. In the mean time, I'm using the base of an old lava lamp. It works.

Dying Tulips.
This is SOOC for the most part. I adjusted the blacks and saturation just a touch.

Here's Another Shot of a different tulip with more pedals.

I took a couple days off from the Daily photos, so I'm hoping to make up for those today.

I took some photos, but none of them were very appealing today, so I went abstract for the day. This is the tip of a closed tulip.
Here's Another Shot of the same flower the following day, when it opened up.
