This gallery contains Daily Moments that provoked a photo. I hope to add a new photo every day, but with my unpredictable schedule, there will be a few days lost. HERE is a link to last year's Daily Photos.

My Desk

I didn't have the time or motivation to take any exciting shots today, so you get a picture of my desk. I've seen a lot of these shots on the DP community over the past year, so I thought I'd contribute.

About my desk...
The desk was actually a set piece in a show called "Boris Godunov." Here's an article about the show at Princeton Univ and some photos of the set which included 150 22' Bungee Cords. I can't even begin to tell you how fun the bungees were! Unfortunately, the desk is not pictured in that article... ANYHOW, I took the desk and refinished the top.

On my desk, there's a random assortment of things, including: Laptop, mouse, a file folder with my apartment lease in it (long story), bear saw, nail set (from the spice rack I built last week), Miller Lite Hat (True Pilsner Taste...), cat treats (to throw at them, so they stop sitting on my keyboard), external hard drive (where my pictures are stored), a hackle (for future photo-ops), modem, router, eyeglass case, mouse charger, pencil cups, lamp, pencil sharpener, and a Pilsner Urquell Coaster. Did I miss anything?

The empty spot on the upper right of the desk is empty because that's where Dynamo has to lay and watch me work. He will push everything off the desk, if I don't keep it clear for him.

This is a statue of King Lear. This my third shot of today from the Grounds for Sculpture

I like the composition of this shot. I had to kneel at his feet to get a shot of his face. I used a polarizing filter, but most of the rich blue sky was done in post.

Thanks to Lindsay for telling me to get a shot of his face! Here's a link to my Gallery of the day (morning) trip.

GUESS WHAT?
PEACOCK BUTT!

How often do you see a peacock from the rear? Leave it to me to be different and show you what it's like.
This peacock at Grounds for Sculpture was showing off and doing his best impression of a model with complete spins and fancy footwork.

A Couple of friends and I went to Grounds for Sculpture yesterday. The Grounds is a huge sculpture park with small ponds and streams, and of course tons of statues and sculptures. There are also peacocks... On many of the streets leading up to the Grounds, there are sculptures all over the neighborhood. There's a even some giant steel heads on the side of the Interstate.

I'm posting 3 photos today. I figured I could make up for the few days I missed this month.

I went for a 3½ mile walk on the towpath by the D&R Canal in Princeton yesterday. There wasn't any interesting wildlife to photograph like the last time I went out on the path.

This is a shot of the handrail on the bridge where we finally decided to turn around. I took about 6 shots of these bolts. Each one had a different bolt in focus, but I found this one most eye-catching.

Hillary, I don't have any caterpilars in my shot, but how do you like my little corner of bokeh?

This is a macro shot of a flower from my strawberry picking fun yesterday. It wasn't the greatest of conditions for macro shooting, so I was pretty impressed how well this ended up. This is straight out of the camera, handheld, with windy weather.

Here's a Few Shots of yesterday's farm animals.

Mexicali

This is a horse at Terhune's Orchard. We went strawberry picking this morning, but they also have an abundance of animals at the farm. Here's a sign with all the animals names. I particularly like the sheep and goat names. I have some other funny and cute pictures of goats and geese. Here's a Few Shots of the other farm animals.

I think the comp of this photo is really nice, but I hate that thing hanging in the back, and I wish I had the top of his ear in the shot.

Strawberry Fields Forever

A couple of friends and I went to Terhunes to pick some strawberries this morning. I took Paco with me just for fun.

More pictures of the Farm Animals will follow shortly.

A Luna Moth that I named Frank...

I came home from a BBQ the other day and found this huge Luna Moth on the wall. I recently read about capturing them and putting them in the fridge to slow them down. This guy wasn't very active, so I didn't bother with that. He let me move him around and put him on the floor so I could get a picture of his fuzzy face.

Here's a few more shots...
