This gallery contains Daily Moments that provoked a photo. I hope to add a new photo every day, but with my unpredictable schedule, there will be a few days lost. HERE is a link to last year's Daily Photos.

Screwhead in Burlap Covered Flat (Scenery Flat, not a British Apartment...)

Like I said in my previous picture, I was working all day today. As I was stumbling through all of the scenery with my macro lens, I took this shot. I felt it looked a little more aged with the treatment I did to it in Lightroom.

Nicopress Stops

I was at work all day today, and while I was looking for some rigging hardware, I saw the drawer full of these, and saw a cool picture. I came back later during a break, and took a few shots. Nothing exciting, but I think it's a cool macro. The actual inside diameter of these is just over 1/8"

This one's for MEREDITH!!!
Hope you're having fun in Alaska, We Miss you!

My friend Jamie Pugh brought over some Moosehead tonight, and the first thing I thought of was Meredith and her last Blog Entry. I can't wait for pictures of moose.

Bailey came over for another visit last night. I'm honestly sick of fruit, so I was glad to have some shots of something cute. I'm sure your all sick of looking at fruit as well.

This picture was a little bland in color, so I swapped it to sepia, and I'm much happier with it.

And as usual, Here's a link to Bailey's Gallery with a few more new shots.

Backlit Kiwi Slice

I must say that I think this shot looks pretty cool. Unfortunately, the guy from the restaurant in LA didn't want this one! That's ok though, I took this shot before I knew that he was just looking for macros with no skins in the shot.

This shot was kind of a pain in the butt. I had to get the kiwi sliced pretty thin in order to get a lot of light through it, but when it's very thin, it doesn't want to stand up on its own. I would manage to get it standing and then by the time I got back to the camera, it had fallen over. I have to reshoot it with no skin, so I'm going to be creating some sort of toothpick tripod. How fun is that?

Papaya

Exciting News!
Late last night, I checked my email, only to find an email from someone who wants to buy some photos from me for his restaurant in Los Angeles ( http://www.freshfoodscafe.com). After a few conversations, I decided I would shoot a few extra shots for him to choose from. This is a shot of a papaya from round 1 this afternoon.

Sugar Snap Pea

In an effort to increase my collection of stock photos, I found some sugar snap peas in my fridge, and had some fun for 15 mins.

I'm not too fond of the light in these shots. It's actually a combination of my incandescent desk lamp as back light, and my 430EX as fill light. It ended up with some weird color temps which I attempted to fix a little in post. In this particular shot, I wish I had more DoF to make all the little peas a little more in focus, but I also think that the blurry peas kind of add a little, uh, mystery... (is mystery the word I'm looking for?) However, I do like that the little fuzzies are sharp.

Here's a few more shots of the beans. And thanks for all your kind comments on my puppy pic yesterday.

Bailey's growing up. He's 3 months old now.

I needed a picture for the day, and I happened to be dogsitting for the day. The obvious choice was to be lazy and just take a picture of the Puppy.

Here's Bailey's Gallery with some more shots.
