Matt Pilsner > August 21, 2008 Bailey and his Teddy Bear The bear is actually a cat toy that he stole, but the cat's don't play with it, so why should I deny the bear some action? I haven't put much effort forth on pictures this week. I must've been overwhelmed last week.

Matt Pilsner > August 19, 2008 Fly Tongue So there was this slow fly that was flying around my living room. I managed to catch it before the cats did. I put a drop of honey on some paper, and waited for him to get stuck in it while I put the macro lens on. Once he freed himself from the honey, the cats had a field day. R.I.P. Fly... I lead such an exciting life, don't I? Here's some other shots.
Matt Pilsner > August 18, 2008 Went for a walk, and found this feather on a bench. I thought the light was great, so I was concentrating on that and lost a little focus on the fuzziest part of the feather. I don't know about you, but my eye goes towards the wood before it realizes there's a feather in the picture. Or is it the bolt that's distracting? Thoughts?
Matt Pilsner > August 16, 2008 I thought this bottle would be cool to photograph. So I set it up, and took this 1 test shot with the crappy lighting just to see how it would come out. The bar code pissed me off, but it was printed directly onto the bottle as opposed to a label that I could peel off. So I gave up and put everything away. This was the only photo I took today so I posted it.

Matt Pilsner > August 15, 2008 Dynamo Because Alex asked about my cat's the other day, I realized it's been a few weeks since I've posted any shots of the cats. Dynamo is a very gray cat, and he tends to be hard to photograph. He always ends up looking flat and boring, so I usually add some sort of PP. Here's some more shots of Dynamo. The first 5 are new. Thanks for all of your comments on the Eastern State Photos!
Matt Pilsner > August 14, 2008 Eastern State Penitentiary Some other SmugMuggers (Alex, Leslie, Hillary, and John) and I went to the Easter State Pen in Philadelphia yesterday. The Penitentiary was built from 1822-1829 and was used until it closed in 1971. There are many more juicy details at http://www.easternstate.org/. More of my ESP Photos can be found HERE.
Matt Pilsner > August 13, 2008 Philadelphia Art Museum I went to Philly today to meet up with a few other Daily Photo SmugMuggers. We met at the Eastern State Penitentiary in the afternoon, but I went into the city much earlier to see the Ansel Adams exhibit at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Here's Another Shot of the columns. The base of these columns is about 8' in diameter. I haven't finished processing all of my Prison Photos, but you can count on seeing a few tomorrow.
