In an effort to improve my photography skills, I'm going to try to take a "good" picture every day. I started this project on June 18th, 2007, the day I bought my new camera.

I got so excited about the first snow we had this morning, that I decided to post two pictures today. Both of them are sort of Monochrome in nature, but it was a dreary, cloudy day, so that was to be expected.

MIA is Missing? No Shit...
Today is the first chance I had to catch up on this weeks news. I've been at work for 12 to 16 hours a day since last Sunday. Thankfully, the holiday season is great for overtime money. The one headline caught my attention. There's more to it that actually makes sense, but I left that part out to make the picture more interesting.

Maybe I will get a high rating for this picture. Maybe not... I think it's better than anything else I've taken over the past week. It's been a busy week at work, but I finally had time this morning to set up a little shot, instead of just shooting whatever I can at work. I think the repetition in this shot is cool. However, I feel that it's a touch underexposed.

There was a really cool moon tonight. I wasn't able to capture the really cool looking clouds that surrounded it though. I wanted to capture the detail of the moon, with just a hint of the stratus clouds surrounding the moon, but I just couldn't get it without overexposing the moon. Any suggestions on how to do this?? (Other than photoshopping the clouds in...)

The ghosts were at yesterday's rehearsal, and today the Angels got their wings. I was stuck in the back of the house during most of the rehearsals, so I had to use long shutter speeds with a telephoto lense, but I got some half decent shots. I really like the colors in this one.

Ghosts at a dance rehearsal. The Princeton Students I was working with today were very excited about the 20'x20' seamless peice of fabric they bought. A few of them decided go under it, and I managed to capture them in a cool light cue with a long shutter speed.

This is a spider web I found inside of a Source 4. I wish I had used more DOF, but I still think it looks cool. For those that don't know, a Souce 4 is a brand name of theatrical lighting instrument. I was obviously at work when I took this picture.

So I missed a few days of photos, thanks to all of the travelling and eating. Here's a photo of my nephew Anderson before Thanksgiving dinner. He may look familiar to you, because he's appeared on the Daily Photos community a few times now. His most recent popular photo was from CSPics when he was showing off his war wound.
